Inspirational Quotes

Decide

Decide

I came across these quotes on a separate blog (http://newtotri.com/2011/02/motivational-quotes-for-triathlon/).  I enjoy reading these frequently as they provide me with mental strength to soldier through especially difficult workouts and circumstances as I recall them to mind.

– ”Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can.”

– ”Limits are only ‘words’ or ‘numbers!’”

– “If you’re going through hell, keep going!”

– “If you’re not willing to risk the unusual, you’ll have to settle for the ordinary”

– “Ability is what you are capable of doing.  Motivation determines what you do.  Attitude is how well you do it.”

– “You must first find your limits before you can exceed them.”

– “You’re never a loser until you quit trying.”

– “Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.”

– ”Winners make goals, losers make excuses.”

– “Before you can succeed, you must believe you are worthy.”

– “We are judged by what we finish, not by what we start.”

– “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t – you’re correct.”

– “A ship in the harbor is safe but that’s not what ships are built for.”

– “Obsessed is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.”

And a few of my personal favorites that I’m able to recall from memory:

– “You may be the last person to finish, but you’re ahead of every single other person who chose not to participate.”

– “Never stop.” – Jason Lester

– “Why would anyone choose a life of mediocrity over and above one of health, vibrancy, vitality, joy, accomplishment and success?  I’ll tell you why: because too many people don’t realize they can have all of this and more if only they would set goals and make each decision in light of whether their actions would take them closer to achieving their goals or move them farther from their goals.  When viewed in this light, there is no excuse for not accomplishing everything you determine you will accomplish in your life.” – Me

– “If we desire success and victory and purpose and accomplishment and freedom then these things should be sought and defended with all our strength and not merely hoped for.” – Me

  1. Here’s another one I like, personally: “You can choose to do absolutely anything you want to do in life, so why limit yourself to doing only what you think others want or expect of you?” – author unknown. Be original!

Let me know what you think, thanks!
